Kris Allen Goes Rockabilly!

Kris Allen debuted a new song during his secret Viper Room gig this past Saturday and I can't stop listening to it! It's a little bit country, a little bit rockabilly, and a whole lot of catchy!!! Here's hoping he'll put this on his next record. I also hope he does more music in this vein. It really suits his voice!

I'm guessing from the lyrics that the song title is "Shut That Door and Keep That Devil Out."

I adored Kris Allen's version of "She Works Hard For the Money" last night on American Idol. I am a big fan of the original, but I really loved his interpretation.

Go Kris! And go Allison! I love her too. :)

Carly loves Brooke (and so do I!)

I absolutely loved Brooke White on American Idol, from the first time they showed during auditions to her very last performance. Sure, she let her nerves get the best of her at times (especially these last couple of weeks), and yeah, she wasn't the BEST singer on the show, but she always seemed so genuine and heartfelt and vulnerable whenever she performed, which to me is way more important than being able to sing five octaves. Apparently, Carly Simon thought so too, because she called in to Fox & Friends yesterday during Brooke's interview to give MAJOR props to Brooke. It was so touching and sweet!!!



I hope Brooke goes on to have a long and lasting and very successful career. Good luck, Brooke!

WTF?

Did anybody notice last week on "American Idol" when Randy Jackson said something about how the south's gonna rise again? Umm...I don't know about you all but I found that kind of...umm...odd...
