Marilyn Monroe Clothing Collection at Macy's

I'm really looking forward to checking out the mstylelab Marilyn Monroe clothing collection, available at Macy's March 1st. According to Macy's website, the collection will "will feature trendsetting styles. Look forward to fun, flirty clothes inspired by the timeless appeal of one of Hollywood's greatest legends." Although there's no clothing on the website yet, the ad campaign features some (or all?) of the collection. The clothes look really cute and affordable, but they are not reproductions of clothing that Marilyn actually wore. Rather, they seem to have the "essence" of Marilyn. I think Marilyn would have looked great in any of these outfits!

The top is very "Elly May Barbie" but I like it. The denim shorts have cute lipstick prints on the peek-a-boo pockets.

This is probably the only thing I've seen in the collection that resembles something Marilyn actually wore. The style of the dress isn't the same, but the cherry print on white is somewhat similar to a dress Marilyn wore in The Misfits.

Boy London Clothing

Boy London, the iconic British clothing line worn by everyone from Boy George to Madonna back in the 80s, is back! Boy London's website just launched and features many photos of the new clothing line plus an online store. Also, Urban Outfitters UK is selling some of the women's line. For US peeps, Patricia Field is carrying a few unisex pieces. Hopefully more of the women's line will make its way stateside, cause I really wanted a top or two!

Chaser LA Patrick Nagel Tees

I'm really excited about Chaser LA releasing tees with Patrick Nagel's artwork on them. He's best known, I guess, for doing Duran Duran's album cover for Rio, but growing up, I used to see all sorts of Nagel posters at Prints Plus. He will be forever 80s to me, which is a very good thing. I gotta get one of these!!!
