Skin Fusion
No, I ain't talking about some fancy shmancy cosmetic line even though I posted that picture above. I just didn't want a toilet picture on my blog! I'm talking about when your skin fuses to a piece of furniture, or in this case, a toilet seat, cause you haven't gotten up from it for years. Skin fusion stories fascinate me, and this one is no exception. Probably even more so, since it involves sitting on a TOILET for 2 years! I hope she flushed that thing once in a while...

Woman Hospitalized After Sitting On Toilet Two Years
Posted on Thursday, 13 of March , 2008 at 5:39 pm
WICHITA, KAN—Police and prosecutors in Ness County, Kansas are trying to decide if criminal charges are warranted against a man for allowing his girlfriend to stay in his bathroom for the past two years, sitting on the toilet.
According to Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple, police received a call on Feb. 27 from 36-year-old man at a house reportedly owned by Kory McFarren, saying there was something wrong with his girlfriend. When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old woman, identified as Pam Babcock, physically attached to the toilet seat.
Police said she wasn’t stuck to the toilet or glued there but rather the woman’s skin had grown around the toilet seat. They pried the toilet seat off with a prybar. Although she initially refused medical services, the woman was taken to a local hospital, with the toilet seat still attached. It was removed at the hospital, police said.
The boyfriend told police that he had gave his girlfriend food and water daily and repeatedly asked her to come out of the bathroom but she had refused. He told police that every time he asked her to leave, she would respond, “Maybe tomorrow”.
He told police that it was her choice to stay in the bathroom and that she had a phobia about leaving the bathroom. He acknowledged that he should have asked for help sooner but said that after a while, “you kind of get used to it”.
McFarren said the bathroom became like a safe haven for her.
She was reported in fair condition at the hospital but was refusing to cooperate with health care providers or law enforcement authorities.
God, that last line reminds me of my dad. Don't ask..........

Who doesn't know this?
Apparently this guy! I'm still in shock over this! How does one know all about Dallas but not about Elvis??? WTF????
From Extra TV via Monsters & Critics:
Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Louie Van Amstel spilled his secrets to “Extra” revealing details about his season six celebrity partner, Priscilla Presley.
Van Amstel, returning to DWTS after a break, admits to “Extra” that he didn’t know that his partner, Priscilla Presley, was the ex of the “King of Rock and Roll.”
“I didn’t know her as Elvis’ ex-wife. I knew her from Dallas.
In Holland, I watched that show religiously.”
Van Amstel explains why he won’t dance to Elvis songs saying, “She [Priscilla] does not want to use Elvis’ music. It’s still about Priscilla Presley…She doesn’t want to take advantage of the Elvis fans.”
Van Amstel also reveals that the producers tried to trick him into thinking he was partnering with his celebrity crush, Angelina Jolie, saying, “I opened the thing [envelope with name of partner] and I already thought I would get Priscilla…Then I was like, ‘That’s Angelina Jolie”…I was like, ‘You’re pranking me,’ and then they started laughing.”

"Tony Soprano" Print by Jennifer Jackson Maynard
I was never a huge fan of The Sopranos (although I know somebody who is!), but even I think this print of Tony is pretty cool! This print is from an original painting by Jennifer Jackson Maynard and measures 8.5" x 11". It has a white border for framing and it's printed on archival matte card stock paper. It's even signed by the artist herself!

'Creepy gnome' terrorises town'
By VIRGINIA WHEELER
A TOWN in South America is living in fear after several sightings of a 'creepy gnome' that locals claim stalks the streets at night.
The midget - which wears a pointy hat and has a distinctive sideways walk - was caught on video last week by a terrified group of youngsters.
Teenager Jose Alvarez - who filmed the gnome - yesterday told national newspaper El Tribuno that they caught the creature while larking about in their hometown of General Guemes, in the province of Salta, Argentina.
He said: “We were chatting about our last fishing trip. It was one in the morning.
“I began to film a bit with my mobile phone while the others were chatting and joking.
"Suddenly we heard something - a weird noise as if someone was throwing stones.
"We looked to one side and saw that the grass was moving. To begin with we thought it was a dog but when we saw this gnome-like figure begin to emerge we were really afraid."
Jose added that other locals had come forward to say they had spotted the gnome.
He said: “This is no joke. We are still afraid to go out - just like everyone else in the neighbourhood now.
"One of my friends was so scared after seeing that thing that we had to take him to the hospital.”
