Harley Earl's Mid-Century Office

Maaaaaaaaaan, I wish this was my office! This office actually belonged to Harley Earl, Vice President of Design at General Motors (and the father of the tailfin!!!!!) back in the 50s. The acclaimed firm of architect/designer Eero Saarinen designed it. Visit Lushpad to see more pictures, including how it looks today!

I have no idea what size these are, but all I can think about when I see these plastic resin Mini-Chair Sculptures is how great they would look in Barbie's Dreamhouse!

Atomic Ranch Magazine

Since I grew up in an Eichler, I have a special fondness for all types of mid-century architecture, particularily homes such as the one my parents own. There are quite a few design/architecture magazines out there that focus on the modern and post-modern, but my favorite of the bunch is Atomic Ranch Magazine. Yes, I am biased because it's heavy on Eichler stories, but it covers atomic era ranch houses too. A one-year/4 issue subscription is $19.95 USD.
